The 2018 Yankees were set to CRUSH the the regular season home run record, set in 1997 by the Seattle Mariners (264), but after a shaky season with Greg Bird, a wrist problem with Judge, a bad leg and hamstring from Didi, and a injury from Gleyber Torres, the 11 year-old record was starting to seem… well… a little bit far. That is,  until the near-end of this season.

The Yankees blasted their 265th home run in the 2nd best place to do it: Fenway Park in Boston.

Here are the top 10 biggest home run donors of the 2018 HR record breaking Yankees:

#10:Neil Walker. Number of  HR:11

#9:Brett Gardner. Number of Homers:12

#8: Luke Voit. Number of Long Balls: 14

#7: Gary Sanchez. Number of dingers: 18

#6:Gleyber Torres. Number of homers: 24

#5:Aaron Judge. Number of big flies: 27

#4:Aaron Hicks. Number of Home runs:27

#3:Didi Gregorius.  Number of HR: 27

#2: Miguel Andujar. Number of HR: 27

#1: Giancarlo Stanton. Number of HR:38

As you can see, the rookies (the guys with 5 years or less of major league experience), has smashed  160 of the team’s total of 267.

The Yankees’ projected HR total was 265, and its top supposed 3 hitters:

#3:Gary Sanchez. Projected HR total: around 40

#2: Aaron Judge. Projected HR total: About 60

#1: Giancarlo Stanton. Projected HR total: around 65

Well, after that, I think we can all agree on one thing:

2018. The year of the rookies.
