Why Patrick Corbin is the Biggest, Baddest, and most Evil, Backstabbing, Yankee Traitor of all Time

Patrick Corbin,-oh, that Patrick Corbin,- I thought he was a Yankees fan!!!!! He said he was an Andy Pettite fan, but when the Yankees offered him a pretty decent deal of $100 million for 5 years (which is 20 million dollars a year). This is a HUGE upgrade from the $2.525 million he was paid in 2016 by the Arizona Diamondbacks, the $3 million he was paid in 2017 by Arizona, and the $7.5 million dollars he was paid in 2018 by the Diamondbacks. Instead, he followed the money and went to the Washington Nationals in a 6-year $140 million deal This means he earned just $3 million more dollars than going to the Yankees.
You can say that the Yanks should’ve got him in 2016, 2017, or earlier this year, but hey, remember: the Yankees’ starting rotation didn’t start to fall apart until this year. If the Yankees had signed Corbin earlier this year, then the Yanks would’ve had to bench a starting pitcher or bench Patrick, which could’ve resulted in not having that breakout season this year. The end result is that he could’ve been traded which would do the Bronx Bombers no good.
Personally, I think the Yankees should’ve offered him a bit more money. Maybe a six-year $132 million deal would have done the trick. Even with the deal that the Yanks offered him, I still think he should’ve taken the Yankee deal.
